  1. Keep Going

From the recording Beginning To See

"I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus" (Phillipians 3:14)

I played around with the cyclical minor chord progression used in this song for years before committing it to an actual tune. Its sing-song arching melody goes through multiple chromatic modulations making the tune more complex than it appears. The lead line is a combo of several synth layers including harmonica and hard flute from the Roland XV-5080 and Korg Wavestation. The ostinato vocal hits (also from the XV-5080) lend a human percussive element to the track. The song may drag on a bit for some, and it is the longest tune on this project, but the title says it all... keep going, don’t stop, keep going, if you fall down get up, keep going...
